We campaign for a fairer economy, so growth can work for good.

The Good Growth Foundation was established to ensure the UK thrives on the world stage.

We want growth that makes people’s lives better. Jobs, Housing and public services no longer create the security and living standards that people need. We are here to provide answers on how to deliver the changes necessary and how to talk about the economy in a way that makes sense to the public.

Our approach focuses on what matters most to people. Through polling, focus groups and policy analysis we drive the conversation on how to deliver popular solutions to the UK’s decade of lost growth.

Reopening Ashford International to bring good growth to left behind towns

August 2025

Our latest report looks at Ashford International - once a proud gateway to Europe, now a symbol of decline. Since international services were suspended in 2020, millions in taxpayer investment have sat idle while communities across Kent and Sussex feel cut off and forgotten. But reopening Ashford is about far more than trains. It’s a test of whether the Government is serious about backing coastal towns, restoring growth in the South East, and tackling the rise of populism in a region where Reform UK is a growing threat.

Read the report to understand what’s at stake - and how action on Ashford could signal a commitment to both local prosperity and national renewal.

Campaigning for a Windfall Tax on Private Healthcare

The Good Growth Foundation is campaigning alongside Lord Kinnock for a windfall tax on private healthcare to fund the NHS. Our research shows that 55% of the public support such a proposal - with only 17% opposed. We are sleepwalking into a two-tier health system, and we have to back the NHS.
